Campus

Overview

Since the COVID-19 pandemic has imprisoned us in our homes for an indefinite period, the most affected group is students, as this pandemic has put their future at stake.
So, they started learning through zoom calls and online courses not to accumulate a severe gap. The student social life and the social gatherings were mainly damaged and caused them a lot of frustration.
Campus is a mobile app designed to address students in everything related to the social issue on campus.:

  • Upcoming events

  • Sports classes registration

  • attendance to events with QR card or card reader

  • Push Notifications

  • Loan of equipment

  • Various benefits for students

Getting to know our users

I conducted ten user interviews of college students to understand their pain points and their problems in their day-to-day life in college.

“I am tired of scrolling messages to find important info from my college.”

“The flow of information from college faculty is often chaotic. Some share info via phone messages and others via mail, and it is hard to find things you are looking for.’’

“College events were notified on the same noticed board that contained thousands of other things.’’

"The site always lacks information on the sports classes they have added and when registration opens."

The students faced many difficulties in their day-to-day life in college, ranging from the events to tracking important notifications.

Pain points

Over-dependence on messages to view crucial info

Confusion with registration to sports classes

Poor quality of tech infrastructure

Lack of social meetings

We've researched products that are categorized as social media And Event registration app.
We also learned apps where users can see real-time updates, from news flashes to collaborative chat.

1. Facebook

2. Eventbrite

3. N12

4. Google chat

The solution

A native app that allows students to get an update of all the social interactions on campus.

Use Cases

  • A freshman student who wants to go to a year-opening event to meet some new people.

  • An ADHD student always forgets the latest updates that the campus sends and needs to see all the notifications in one place.

Onboarding

The three steps contribute to the user’s understanding of what value he can receive from the app before using it. (In case he reads it)

Homepage

We introduced the homepage to provide a central place for users to go from when starting their Campus journey.
Users have the option to Perform a quick search if they need a specific subject, and also they have the inquires page where they can submit questions to the campus in all sorts of issues.

In addition, to encourage the student to feel more involved and socialized in various fields, the college presents him on the home page with selected stories and marketing content that may interest him.

Events

We gave the students the option to see all upcoming events and view the tickets they purchased through the CRM system. When the student arrives at the event, he scans the barcode through our system and enters the event without delays!

Push notifications are essential for students who need to get informed about all the updates on the campus.
In the chat, where representatives upload the updates, they can see all the important messages in real-time.
